Meghna Srivastava and Supriya Kaushik have expressed their desire to pursue higher studies in psychology.

Meghna Srivastava from Noida's Step by Step School has emerged as the all India topper of the CBSE class 12 examinations. She scored 99.8 percentage marks in the exams and received a total of 499 marks out of 500 in the examination. She secured 100 marks in Psychology, History, Geography and Economics apart from scoring 99 marks in English.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12th result was declared on its official website cbse.nic.in at 12:19 pm on Saturday.

Meghna said that she did not take too much pressure during the examinations. She claimed that she made a routine timetable and studied according to that only. “I focused on one subject at a time and received immense help from my parents,” Meghna said.

She said that she wanted to study in a good college and pursue higher studies in psychology. She further said that she was also searching for overseas colleges.

Meghna’s father Gautam Srivastava claimed that it was a proud moment for him. He said that although his family was confident that Meghna would score good marks in the exams, it was a happy and surprising moment for them after realizing that she had secured the first rank in CBSE.

“Her teachers and mother have offered her adequate support and it has helped her in scoring excellent marks,” Gautam further added.

On the other hand, another Noida student, Supriya Kaushik received 497 marks and is the joint 3rd rank holder on the national level in the CBSE class 12th examinations. She is from Cambridge School, which is located in Sector-27.

Supriya said that she was completely surprised after scoring such excellent marks.

She said that she will study psychology as a short-term goal. However, in the long run, she wants to keep her options open. She further added that she loves singing and was also studying French. Moreover, she added that she was also learning Kathak.

Supriya’s mother said that she wants her daughter to become an IAS officer. She further said that Supriya’s father was responsible for her success as he had helped her a lot in the studies.
