Facelift for Radhika Apartments of Dwarka

The RWA has set a month’s deadline for SDMC. Drains cleaned, boundary wall enhanced, they now want more stamp polls installed and central park spruced up.

Facelift for Radhika Apartments of Dwarka WORK IN PROGRESS: Drain covers lined up along the streets awaiting installation.

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) is running against time to meet the one-month deadline for completion of the developmental works it has undertaken at Radhika Apartments, Sector 14 Pocket 1, Dwarka. The RWA of the society wants the work finished a month ahead of monsoon.

President of the society, SS Chowhan said, “Right now we are focussed on the internal storm water drains that require immediate repair. Drains from the main gate up to the water reservoir have been cleaned. Currently, their old and damaged covers are being replaced with new ones.”

Likewise, work on raising the height of the boundary wall in front of the society is also complete. It is being fenced with barbed wires. General Secretary of RWA, Anupam Yashovardhan, expressed his satisfaction with the construction of the wall done by the SDMC.

Meanwhile, the society has written to the local councillor to install more stamp poles to illuminate interior lanes of the society.

“We have also asked the councillor to cover the entire central park with grass. Earlier, the park was left partially carpeted by the SDMC under private-public-partnership (PPP) scheme. Besides, we want a rain shelter for senior citizens and swings for the children in the park.”
