Dwarka resident Captain PS Rajput died in a plane crash yesterday at Ghatkopar, Mumbai. Four others were killed in the crash. He was a resident of Gold Croft Apartments in Sector 11.

He hailed from Jalandhar and had recently shifted to the society.

According to sources, the 12-seater aircraft (VT-UPZ), which took off from Juhu airport, crashed onto the premises of an under-construction building, Jagruti, in Sarvodya Nagar of Ghatkopar area at around 1.10 pm.

All occupants of the chartered plane succumbed to injuries, including one pilot, three co-passengers and a pedestrian. Their names: Captain Pradeep Singh Rajput, Captain Mariya, Engineer Surbhi, technician Manish and a pedestrian.
