In the letter, Sharma mentioned the problems of five societies in Noida Extension and asked the CEO to take the needful step and complete all civic work as soon as possible.
The union minister and local MP of Gautam Budh Nagar, Mahesh Sharma, on Thursday wrote a letter to Greater Noida’s chief executive officer for the pending works in Noida Extension.
During the “Jan Samwad,” Sharma got various complaints from the high rise residents. He wrote a letter to CEO of GNIDA to complete the development work in the area.
In the letter, Sharma mentioned the problems of five societies in Noida Extension and asked the CEO to take the needful step and complete all civic work as soon as possible.
Manish Kumar, a resident of Arihant Arden in Noida Extension, told City Spidey, “Mahesh Sharma raised the road problem and street light problem. Now, we are hoping that some ground level work will be done by the authority soon. These works have been pending for the last few years.”
“He has also mentioned the lift act in the letter. Lift casualties have happened with the residents recently. Hence, we demanded a lift act so that maintenance and installation will be done according to the act,” Kumar added.
Two residents of Gaur Saundaryam Society in Noida Extension were the victim as the lift fell down the shaft from the 14th floor. It stopped suddenly at the seventh floor. During this, one resident suffered a fracture on her leg while the other had no injuries.
When the MP visited the society, we asked for a government hospital in the area. Residents go to the private hospital in Shaberi area which is around 3.5 km away from the society. We also demanded a park in the area so that residents can use it for the morning walk and other purposes.
“We did not know about the letter but we are doing these works in the area. The tender was released for some work and some tender is soon going to be released so that the work of the road and street light will be completed,” an official of Greater Noida authority said.
