A three and a half years old girl was allegedly raped by life guard inside the school premises of DPS in Greater Noida on Thursday morning.
The District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar, BN Singh, on Sunday formed a committee to look into the alleged rape of a three and a half years old girl by the life guard of the swimming pool in Delhi Public School of Greater Noida. The committee will present their report within fifteen days.
There are five members in the committee formed by District Magistrate. The members include Additional District Magistrate, Chief Medical Officer, District Education Officer, ARTO and District Fire Officer.
"The committee will be checking the security of the students, CCTV cameras installed by the school management, CCTV cameras installed under the guidelines of CBSE and state government. If anything wrong will be found, the district administration will take action against the school," DM said.
A three and a half years old girl was allegedly raped by life guard inside the school premises of DPS in Greater Noida on Thursday morning. However, the police registered an FIR on Friday evening upon the complaint being received and arrested the accused.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Chandi Das, a life guard with DPS in Gama-II sector of Greater Noida. According to a senior police official, the students of class nursery were taken to swimming pool for their coaching class. The accused raped the girl near the swimming pool during the school hours.
“As the girl came home, she complained of severe lower abdomen pain to her parents. She was immediately taken to a private hospital where doctors confirmed sexual assault with the girl as her hymen was found to be torn,” said Manoj Kumar Pant, station house officer of Surajpur police station.
Police said that the incident happened on Thursday. Following which, the accused was arrested on Saturday morning. The girl managed to tell her parents about the accused and she started screaming loud pointing towards the accused when she was taken to the school.
“Upon being examined, the doctors have confirmed injury in the private part of the victim which clearly shows sexual assault. The accused has been arrested and an FIR under IPC section 376 (Rape) and 7/8 Protection of Child from Sexual offences Act (POCSO) has been registered in Surajpur police station” added Pant.
Meanwhile, the school principal was unavailable for comments despite several calls being made to her.
