After allotting alternative plots in Sector-37C, a farmhouse was removed from the alignment of the main carriageway of the Dwarka Expressway in New Palam Vihar.

The owners of the property were given three alternative plots of 8 marlas in Sector-37C. As per the Huda officials, they will be given physical possession in next 2-3 days.

“A survey of the farmhouse will be conducted and compensation for the structure would be worked out and paid at the earliest. Our objective is to remove the structures so that the carriageway is clear,” said Huda administrator Chander Shekhar Khare.

The Huda started taking action after the owners submitted the no-objection certificate. The owners had also demanded alternative plots and compensation for the structure.

The total area of the farmhouse is about 2.5 acres. Out of the total area, around 1.3 acres of the farmhouse was acquired by the authority to carry out works of the expressway which was stuck in the last 8 years.

The Huda is also working towards identifying alternative plots for the oustees. Their plots were located in Secor-37C.

On June 8, Huda held a draw of lots and offered alternative plots to 16 oustees, who had got relief from Punjab and Haryana high court on May 29.
