Four months after Ekisha Shah of Ahlcon Public School in Mayur Vihar committed suicide, Noida police arrested the school principal and two other subject teachers yesterday late night.
Sixteen-year-old girl Ekisha Raghav was found hanging from the window grille of her rented home in Sector 52. She had committed the act while her parents were out for some work.
The parents alleged that the teachers of the school had tried to sexually abuse her and had even threatened to fail her in the examination; she was also de-motivated by them.
The arrests were made after Allahabad high court, which summoned GB Nagar SSP Ajaypal Sharma at the hearing, passed the orders.
Pankaj Pant, station officer of Sector 24 police station, confirmed, “The police arrested Dharmedra Goyal, school principal; social science teacher Rajiv Sehgal and science teacher Neeraj Anand. Investigation is on and more details cannot be revealed at this stage.”
Ekisha was the daughter of classical dance teacher Raghav Shah.
On the basis of complaint of her parents, Noida Police had then registered case under section 306 (abetment to suicide) and 506 ( Punishment for criminal intimidation) and POCSO Act under IPC.TAGS: Ekisha Shah suicide case / Ekisha Shah suicide / Ekisha Shah's parents / CBI probe / CBI / Ahlcon Public School / Mayur Vihar Phase-1 / Noida / Noida police
