The district magistrate of Ghaziabad, Ritu Maheshwari, on Friday ordered to close the schools and colleges from August 6 to August 9 due to “Kanwar Yatra.”

The number of “Kanwar Yatris” is expected to rise significantly from Monday on the Delhi-Meerut road.
The schools will remain closed irrespective of whether examinations are scheduled or not.
The security has also beefed up in the district during the “Kanwar Yatra.”
