The members of the managing committee of Brahma Apartments on Monday discussed their long-standing problems with the MLA Bhavna Gaur. The MLA visited the apartment on requests of the managing committee.
The prominent issues which were discussed included vacant barren land adjacent to the society, the nuisance around the chowk in front of the society, the problem of garbage dumping near the society and encroachment in front of the society.
The president of Brahma apartments, Indra Mani Mishra said, “The adjacent plot is lying vacant for about 15-20 years. This land is used for garbage dumping and open defecation. It also raises security concerns in the society. We have asked the MLA to look into the matter and pursue it with the concerned agency to get a solution.”
People informed the MLA about the increasing encroachment of footpaths and the areas around the chowk in front of the society. People also apprised the MLA about the bad condition of roads around the society. They requested the MLA to get the roads repaired.
“MLA accepted that there are encroachment and nuisance around the society. She assured us to take proper initiative soon and resolve the issues,” people said.
The MLA also had a round of the area and got a closer look at the issues. Management of the society requested the MLA to provide an open gym and some swings in the green area near the society.
Mishra said, “MLA agreed to give us assistance from MLA Local area Development fund (MLALAD). She assured to give Rs 10 lakh for development and welfare for the society in next two years.”TAGS: Brahma Apartments in Dwarka / MLA Bhavna Gaur at Brahma Apartments / Issues of Brahma Apartments / Dwarka news / Delhi news
