A 29-year-old woman allegedly jumped off the balcony of her flat at Shipra Suncity Phase II after having a quarrel with her husband. She suffered a head injury and a fracture in the right arm.
The victim has been identified as Geetika (her full name is not known yet and hospital records mention just Geetika). She lived with her husband, Shivang, and in-laws in a rented apartment of B Block.
She was found by her neighbours at around 6.30 am, lying unconscious on the ground floor of her building.
The neighbours immediately alerted the security guards about the incident, who broke the news to the woman’s family. An ambulance was called in thereafter.
The family, neighbours claimed, came to know of the incident only after the security guards informed them.
The victim was rushed to Ghaziabad district government hospital. She has now been referred to GTB Hospital in Shahdara for further treatment.
The neighbours reportedly heard the couple having a high-decibel quarrel on the night of the incident.
When City Spidey reached out to the family, they refused to comment. And, so far, they have not lodged any complaint with the police.
