Hariyali Teej was celebrated yesterday in Sector 23 Community Hall, Dwarka, by the women of Association of Neighbourhood Ladies Get-together (ANHLGT). More than 100 women from various sectors and societies participated in the event. Various activities like dance, drama and singing were organised on the occasion. Children also participated in the events.

Principal of Basava International School, Manimala Roy, was the chief guest at the event.

Using the occasion, women were made aware of the Himmat Plus safety app by the police officials from Sector 23 police station and police mitra (a volunteer from community nominated by police), Indu Garg.

President of ANHLGT, Cicily Kodiyan, said, “Women enjoyed themselves and also learnt how to use the Himmat Plus App.”

Women of Heritage Tower in Sector 3 also celebrated Teej at the society’s community hall. Various activities like quiz, dance and songs were organised. Bharti Pandey, one of the organisers, said, “We made this event entertaining and fun-filled. In our quiz competition, we had questions related to the daily life of women. To make it interesting, we had a Teej Queen title for the best performer.”
