To tackle depleting funds, SCC Heights offers big discount on power load upgrade

In a measure to tackle the depleting funds, the AOA of SCC Heights in Rajnagar Extension has offered its residents to upgrade their main power load at a huge discounted price and power back-up load free of cost.

The discounted cost of mainline power load upgrade is Rs. 3000 per KV.

However, the monthly rental of upgraded power back up will be added in the maintenance charge as Rs. 100 per Kilovolt (KV).

Earlier, the cost of the upgrade was Rs 10,000 per KV for the mainline and Rs 5,000 per KV for the backup power.

The AOA offered the discount after Independence Day and it is valid till August 20.

“This is an effort to deal with the financial crisis which the AOA is currently going through,” said Pankaj Sethi, a member of SCCAOA.

Subodh Rathi, joint secretary of SCCAOA alleged that irregularities during previous AOA have resulted in depletion of funds from society’s coffer. “A shop in the commercial complex didn’t pay the maintenance charge since last one year,” he said.

Rathi also informed that an independent audit will be conducted on electricity bills generated in the last three years to zero down on the defaulters who had manipulated their electricity meters to escape the electricity charges.

Recently, the AOA caught six residents who were involved in the power theft.

The residents are quite elated with AOA's decision. A resident, Meena Pandey, was very pleased with the offer. “I have only 2 KV for the backup power. Switching on AC during power cut was an impossible task. But now I will be able to do it,” she said.
