In an incident today at around 6 pm,  a car was snatched from the son of an SHO in Delhi Police, Sagar Chauhan.

The car, a silver coloured Hyundai Creta, was parked outside the DDA pocket in Sector 19, with the key in ignition and the front door open. The assailant took the driving seat and got away. When the victim tried to stop him, he flashed a gun, or "something like it" at him.

The spot is near the office of the deputy commissioner of police.

The police have registered a case, and investigation is on. CCTV footage from the area is being analysed.

According to ACP Dwarka Rajendra Singh, "CCTV footage examination suggests the snatcher was a young boy, about 22-23 years of age. He was alone."

Ironically, the incident happened just a few hours after the arrest of a gang, who were involved in several such incidents of snatching.

Earlier in the day, Dwarka Police also held a press briefing on the same.
