Metro services will start from 6 am on August 26 on selected sectors.

Delhi metro to run extra trips to handle Raksha Bandhan rush

The Delhi Metro will run extra trips on the coming Saturday as well as Sunday, that is, August 25 and 26, to accommodate the increased rush of passengers on the eve of Raksha Bandhan. On sectors where the services start at 8 am on Sunday, the services will start at 6 am on Raksha Bandhan.

On Saturday, the Delhi Metro will run 253 extra train trips whereas 598 extra train trips are planned for Sunday, the day of the festival.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will also deploy additional guards and customer facilitation agents (CFA) at major Metro stations to help and guide commuters. In addition, extra personnel will be deployed to handle the increased load on the ticketing system, wherever required.
