Dwarka: Ganeshotsav celebrated with a social responsibility here ACP (Dwarka) Rajender Singh addressing the residents

The residents of Lovely Home Apartments in Sector 5, Dwarka, are celebrating Ganeshotsav in a unique way this year. Over the past few days, the RWA of the society has been inviting people from various fields — from cops and government officials to social workers — to interact with the residents and make them understand how they can add to the betterment of the community.

People from different walks of life such as police, administration, social work, art and culture have made their appearance at the society during the festival and shared their unique experiences with the audience.

President of the RWA of the society, Shish Pal, said, “We wanted our residents to interact with people who have been doing amazing work for the welfare of Dwarka. Everyone, especially children, have been enjoying this unique part of the celebrations.”

The idea to invite such achievers to Lovely Apartment’s very first Ganeshotsav celebration was initially discussed by the members of the management and later agreed by the members of temple committee, explained Pal.

President of temple committee of the society, SK Srivastav, said, “We wanted to celebrate the occasion in a different way. Our idea was to make people aware of the efforts of people at different levels and encourage them to be a part of it.”

“They are now aware of ACP of the area, SDMC representative and social workers,” added Srivastav.

Women of the society have been the happiest of the lot. Interacting with women achievers from all walks of life has made them more confident and empowered, feel the women residents.
