After the farmers were stopped to enter the national capital a day earlier, they have again started their protest march towards Delhi on Wednesday. The farmers from various districts in Uttar Pradesh started gathering again in huge numbers at the location last night.

In the wake of the protest, the Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad traffic police had imposed a week-long prohibitory order in East Delhi.

The Delhi traffic police have also issued an advisory asking the motorists to avoid the Meerut Expressway. Motorists arriving from Ghaziabad and vice-versa were advised to commute through Kondli village and Anand Vihar.

“Traffic is affected on NH-9, Ghazipur Border and UP Gate due to Kisan Movement from UP’s Ghaziabad Side. Motorists coming from Ghaziabad side and vice-versa are advised to use Kondli Bridge or Road no. 56/Anand Vihar” Delhi traffic police tweeted.
