A 32-year-old woman died during a fire which happened in early hours at Tulip Orange in Sector-70, Gurgaon.

The residents informed that the fire broke out at 2 am. They said that it was caused by a short circuit in the fire panel on ground floor and it spread till ninth floor.

Initially, five fire tenders reached the spot and started rescuing the residents. During their rescue operation, they found Swati Garg lying unconscious on the floor at the ninth floor.

Later, more than 20 fire tenders were also rushed to the spot to expedite the rescue operation.

The Tower B was most affected as flames were seen coming out from the roof of the building. The tower had 40 families living in it.

Isham Singh Kashyap, fire officer Gurugram said "Firefighters worked hard to contain the spread of the fire which has destroyed all the panels and gates.

Police informed that the post-mortem will be conducted by the evening. The woman is survived by her husband and a three and a half year old daughter.
