The 55-year-old security guard, Anand Kumar, had reportedly reprimanded the attacker's niece and nephew for going out of the society late at night.
A resident of Gulmohar Society in Sector Pi-1, Greater Noida, thrashed a 55-year-old security guard, Anand Kumar, with a stick for allegedly reprimanding his niece and nephew for going out of the society late at night.
At midnight, one of the residents of the sector entered the society in his car and started arguing with the security guard. He was then mercilessly attacked and suffered a fracture on his forehead.
Rajeev Kumar, a resident of the society, said, “The guard was thankfully saved by another family that returning from the market and saw him bleeding. The family rushed the victim to Ivory Hospital, where he received first aid and was later discharged.”
The attacker, however, fled.
Kumar has been working as a security guard at the housing society for the past three years.
Hailing from Auraiya district in UP, Kumar has been living in Noida’s Sector Chi in a rented accommodation.
The guard said, “A few days ago, I had reprimanded an 18-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy for leaving the society at night. Due to this incident, the man, who calls these children his niece and nephew, attacked me.”
However, no written complaint has been filed yet.
