One person was killed when a speeding water tanker rammed into his bicycle near JM Aroma high rise in Sector 75, Noida. The man who hasn’t been identified yet died on the spot.
The tanker driver was driving recklessly, said police. “The accused has been identified as Sherpal Yadav, a resident of Sarfabad, whereas we are still trying to identify the victim. The body has been sent for the postmortem.”
The police further added that the water tanker tried to overtake the victim at a high speed and hit the bicycle. The tanker driver, scared of being trashed by the public, fled the spot immediately.
According to Anita Chauhan, Station House Officer of Sector 49 police station, “The incident occurred around 5.30 pm and the police reached the spot immediately. The victim was taken to the District Hospital in Sector 30 where the doctors declared him dead.”
