When Amitabh Bachchan called out her name, she couldn't believe it...

Priyanka Singh, a 33-year-old resident of Gaur Cascades in Raj Nagar Extension, has become the talk of the town these days thanks to her intelligent performance last week at the hot seat on Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 10.  The lawyer managed to win Rs 25 lakh.

Talking to City Spidey about her experience on the show, Priyanka said that it was a dream come true for her and she still can’t believe her luck. “When Bachchan called out my name, it was a total surprise as I couldn’t believe that out of all the contestants, I made it to the coveted hot seat.”

Priyanka shared that sitting in front of Bachchan on the hot seat was an electrifying experience. “I was super thrilled and conscious at the same time,” she said with a wide smile on her face.

“Though he is such a huge star, he is not at all intimidating. He is very considerate and makes you feel so comfortable that all your nervousness vanishes within a few minutes.”

Though it has been a week since her appearance on the show, the mother of five-year-old boy says she still can’t get over her unforgettable experience. “Ever since then, congratulatory calls and messages haven’t stopped coming. I still can’t believe that I not only managed to enter the show but also managed to win Rs 25 lakh.”

Taking inspiration from her father Sulkhan Singh who was former director general of police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka aspires to join judicial services.

Priyanka is married to Raj Ruhil, who is also an advocate. The family has been living in Rajnagar Extension for over a year now.

The lawyer also shared that she was pleasantly surprised to see the warm welcome planned by her society after her return from the show. “A huge poster hoarding welcomed me in the society. I was welcomed by garlands. People keep asking me how I prepared for the show and how was the experience to meet Bachchan. I get a feeling of some kind of a celebrity at times,” she laughingly said.

Priyanka loves to write poems and shares them on social media. Recalling the moment when Bachchan autographed one of her poems, Priyanka said, “He is the son of legendary poet and my favourite Harivansh Rai Bachchan. It was a proud moment for me.”

Talking about her plans to spend prize money, Priyanka said she is planning a Europe trip with whole family.

Meanwhile, the residents of Gaur Cascades seem to have found a new source of inspiration in Priyanka’s journey at the game show. Anoop Singh, a resident of the society, said that Priyanka’s appearance has given inspiration to everyone around that anyone can feature on the show. “Now, I will also try to participate in the show in its next season.”
