Shiv Vihar-Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake Metro section opens for public

Offering Diwali gift to citizens of the national capital, the Delhi Rail Metro Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday opened its much awaited Shiv Vihar-Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake Metro line for the commuters.

The Pink Line Metro stretch is connected to Red Line at Welcome and Blue Line at Karkardooma and Anand Vihar ISBT.

The 17-km long elevated corridor has 15 stations - Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake, East Vinod Nagar, Mayur Vihar Phase 2, Mandawali, West Vinod Nagar, IP Extension, Anand Vihar ISBT, Karkardooma, Karakrdooma Court, Krishna Nagar, East Azad Nagar, Welcome, Jaffrabad, Maujpur-Badarpur, Johri Enclave, Gokulpuri and Shiv Vihar.

The Metro stretch was formally flagged off for passengers by Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi government ministers including Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia and State Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot.
