The deceased belonged to Khatna Village of Jarcha District area of Greater Noida, said the police.
On Wednesday night, unknown assailants shot dead a 28-year-old woman at Ram Vatika, a high-rise society area that comes under Dadri police station of Greater Noida.
The police said that they were informed about the incident by a resident of the society. After getting information, they reached the spot immediately along with the forensic team.
The deceased has been identified as Sandhya, said the police. According to one of her relative, she lived alone and was working with a private company.
The police shared that the deceased belonged to Khatna Village of Jarcha District area of Greater Noida. “She got married five years ago and has two children but because of family conflict, her husband lives separately along with the children,” police said.
Vineet Jaiswal, superintendent of police (rural), Greater Noida, said that the police has not received any complaint from the family so far. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
