Amrapali Golf City: Security guard thrashed; police 'defend' accused builder

Following a heated argument, a security guard was thrashed by a builder and his bouncers in Noida’s Amrapali Golf City late Thursday. When residents of the society started gathering in support of the security guard, the builder and his men escaped, leaving behind a car and two automatic guns.

According to police, the accused was identified as Vikas Sharma and he owns a real estate company called Bullmen Ventures in Sector 125.

Kuldeep Yadav, the security guard and victim, said the scuffle took place after the accused mentioned Tower-E in the visitors’ register at the society gate and instead reached Tower-B with his car. Noticing this, he stopped him and questioned the accused for providing wrong information.

“Following this, Sharma and his associates started abusing and pointed a gun at me. The talk turned into an argument and all of a sudden, they started beating me,” Yadav said.

Residents said Vikas used to visit flats where his female employees were residing. They complained he used to party with them till late night, creating nuisance for the people living in the society. Besides, he used to threaten the people who used to object to his activities.

This was not the first instance when the accused builder had created ruckus on the society premises, informed residents of Amrapali Golf.

When City Spidey asked police about the details and the action taken following the incident, Swetabh Pandey, circle officer 3 said something contradictory, “One of his female friends wanted to shift her flat, so she called Vikas and other people for help."

"We have registered a complaint against the accused builder, two unknown persons and started the investigation," he added.
