Frustrated with growing traffic mess around Indirapuram area, the Federation of Apartments Owners Association (FedAOA) has come out with a plan to help the police administration. The FedAOA has plans to donate thirty wheel clamps to police posts.

The wheel clamps will be used on the vehicles which are parked haphazardly on the roads causing traffic mess. These wheel clamps will not allow the vehicles to move away from the spot.

“Police will use wheel clamps on vehicles which are parked in no parking zones,” said FedAOA president, Alok Kumar.

The federation is also taking the support of its member societies for this purpose. ATS Advantage, a high-rise in Indirapuram, donated five wheel clamps to Neeti Khand police post on Sunday.

Similarly, 25 more clamps will be donated to different police posts in Indirapuram, Vasundhara, and Vaishali. Many societies are joining hands in this initiative.

“Many societies have come forward. They will be donating to police posts in their vicinity. GC grand will donate to Shipra Sun City police post, Amrapali to Abhay Khand police post and Niho to Kanawani police post,” Kumar informed.

Meanwhile, police officials of Indirapuram said that it will help them in getting hold of the violators and will act as a deterrent as well.

Indirapuram, whose roads provide connectivity to Delhi and Noida, is severely hit by traffic jams. Wrong side driving and parking on roads add to the mess.

Recently, FedAOA had moved to High Court of Allahabad regarding traffic menace due to the encroachment of roads by illegal shops. The court had ordered the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and district administration to file a counter affidavit and SSP Ghaziabad to form a team to streamline the traffic.

Reportedly, SSP has formed a team. Meanwhile, GDA, acting under pressure of HC order, had initiated sealing drive of illegal shops but it got big resistance from the shopkeepers. The drive was halted till November 30 and is yet to be resumed by the GDA.
