The second injured in the hit-and-run incident, Inder, passed away yesterday evening at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi.
He was earlier admitted to Ayushman Hospital in Sector 12, Dwarka.
The accident had taken place at around midnight on December 2nd near Ganpati Chowk. A speeding Mercedes hit two fruit vendors from behind while they were on their way home.
While one of them, Sarvesh, died at the spot, Inder, who was critically injured, was taken to a nearby hospital.
The Mercedes involved in the accident was recovered yesterday and the accused, Nukul — who is a resident of Raj Nagar, Palam Colony — has been arrested by the police.
