People living in posh high-rises located in Techzone 4 area of Greater Noida West are finding it difficult to commute to their workplace, or reaching the adjoining cities of Noida and Delhi.
In the absence of bus services to their area, they have to either depend on auto-rickshaws or cabs to reach their destinations in Noida and Delhi. Some resort to car pooling.
Many societies are located away from the main road connecting Noida-Greater Noida West, and residents even need to walk about two and half kilometers to get to autos. Working women feel particularly vulnerable, especially after sundown.
Sumil Jalota, a resident of La Residentia, complained, “If I go to Noida, first I book an auto from Ek Moorti to Kishan Chowk, and then another auto from Kishan Chowk to Noida City Center.”
Recently, a group of residents had approached the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), requesting the officials to provide them bus services for their last-mile connectivity. They have even written to NMRC on the subject.
