A 27-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping off the balcony of her fourth-floor home in Supertech Eco Village 1, a high rise society in Noida Extension.

According to police, the deceased — identified as Arti — lived with her husband and brother-in-law in A1 tower of the society.
“The reason for the suicide is unknown, but a family dispute was afoot,” confirmed police.
According to a resident, who didn’t want to be named, there was a heated argument in the family at the time of the incident.
Anil Kumar Shahi, SHO of Bisrakh police station, said police was informed at around 11.15 pm.
Family members and police took the body to Columbia Hospital in Ghaziabad. Doctor declared her brought dead and police sent the body for autopsy.
“The family is in shock and not in condition to speak to the police yet. We will start a probe from our side, though there has been no complaint from the family yet,” the SHO said.
