Here's how Indirapuram is tackling the drug abuse problem

Residents of Indirapuram and members of the FedAOA met Vimal Kumar Sharma, the district magistrate (DM) of Ghaziabad, to discuss the problem of rising drug abuse among the city's youth. SSP Ghaziabad, SP (City) Ghaziabad and other administrative officials of the city were present at the meeting.

Alok Kumar, the president of FedAOA, was accompanied by the parents of the youth and senior citizens of Indirapuram. At the meeting, residents handed over a letter that included a report on the easy availability and sale of narcotics in and around the residential areas of Indirapuram.

Taking note of the issue, the DM assured the residents of proper investigation and immediate action.

Kumar told City Spidey that it was a fruitful meeting. "The DM has assured us of a high-level enquiry into the matter," he added.

Speaking to City Spidey, the DM said he had appointed the Additional District Magistrate (City) to look into the issue. "I have also asked the SSP and SP (City) to get to the root of the problem," he added.
