Sixty home buyers of Lotus Zing Project filed a fraud case involving Rs 350 crore against the 3C builder in the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in Delhi.

The home buyers said that the project was initiated in 2010 and they were due to get possession in 4 years. Now, eight years have passed and the buyers are yet to get possession of the flat.

A dejected home buyer, who has lost hope of getting his flat, informed that the construction work was halted 5 months back.

Meanwhile, the homebuyers are continuously calling on the customer care number of the company to know the status of the project. But, they only get false assurances.

The President of Lotus Zing Flat Owners Welfare Association, Anil Sharma said that the builder continues to assure us about possession of flat but there is no construction activity going on at the moment.

“There are 15 towers in the project. Only half of them have been completed. The builder has given possession in completed towers. But, the people, who have moved in, are now struggling with the lack of basic amenities in the society,” he added.

At present, around 450 families are living in the society and over 1500 flats are yet to be delivered to the buyers.

The builder had taken commercial electricity connection at the time of construction. They have continued with this arrangement. They have not converted it into the residential connection.
