Regular power outages in the sweltering summer heat has prompted residents of Amrapali Silicon City, Sector 76, to knock on the doors of Noida Authority.
Residents met PK Aggarwal, ACEO of Noida Authority, on Wednesday and complained about power failures and water shortage in the society. They requested the Authority to take action on the issue as soon as possible. They said that women, children and the elderly are forced to use the staircase as the lifts cannot operate during power outages.
Aggarwal said, “We are planning to organise a meeting between the builder and residents. We hope to resolve the issues as soon as possible.”
Rajendra Sharma, a resident, said, “Residents have been facing these problems for the past one month. PK Aggarwal assured us that our problems will be solved soon."
Gaurav Rai, another resident, said, “Children and senior citizens suffer the most but the builder has turned a deaf ear to our problems.”
On Monday, residents had come out on the street and caused a massive traffic jam on the main road in Sector 71.
