The Metro construction work on Captain Shashi Kant Marg has been causing frequent traffic snarls in Sector 34, Noida.
Residents of C Block, Dhawalgiri Apartments, in the sector are the worst affected.
During peak hours, residents spend at least 20 to 30 minutes to cross the stretch. The number of accidents on the road has increased too. The road is a nightmare for cyclists and pedestrians.
Girish Narayan, a resident of Dhawalgiri Apartments, has to take a 1.5-km detour everyday to avoid traffic jam.
Another resident, Sheetal Singh, is afraid to take her five-year-old son to school in the morning.
"People find it difficult to reach office on time," said KK Jain, president of the RWA. "We have no option but to wait for the construction to be over, as even Noida Authority and the traffic police have no solution to the problem."
