'Yogi Adityanath likely to inaugurate Aqua Line on Jan 25'

A happy news in-waiting for all the Noida and Greater Noida commuters - the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) on Thursday announced the Aqua Line is likely to be launched on January 25, a day before 70th Republic Day.

"Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is likely to inaugurate the metro line," the NMRC added.

For the uninitiated, the rail corridor, also known as the Aqua Line, would run between Sector 71 station in Noida and the Depot Station in Greater Noida, covering 29.7 km. As far as the number of stations is concerned, there are a total of 21 stations on the corridor - 15 of them in Noida and 6 in Greater Noida.

From its speed to seats' design and colours, dedicated space for disabled persons, ladies and senior citizens to platform screen doors - this particular metro line will prove to be a different one from others which are already operating in various parts of the country.

Contrary to popular belief, the Aqua line is not lined with Delhi Metro. Therefore, the passengers will have to get new tokens or use another card for boarding the Delhi Metro.
