A gym instructor, Ashish Kumar, was looted by a gang of four in Dwarka. The incident happened near Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College after midnight yesterday.
According to the FIR, the incident happened at about 12.30 am when the gym instructor was given a lift in a WagonR car. He was waiting near Dwarka Mor to reach NSIT in Sector 3.
After he got up, he was mugged and thrown out by the criminals near Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College.
The assailants were carrying pistols. Kumar was also asked for the password of his ATM card, and had to hand over his mobile, purse and bag.
According to police, a girl was also present in the car.
The incident came to notice when the FIR was uploaded at the Delhi Police website.
A case has been registered in Dwarka North Police Station and investigation is under way.
In a message shared by the ACP Dwarka on the WhatsApp group of Dwarka Police, it said, “The complainant was again examined. He endorsed his statement given earlier to the police. He has further added some more facts to his complaints — his bag was also taken and the girl took his wallet and gave him Rs 20 back so that he could reach his home. As per his statement, the girl appeared to be a member. On the basis of fresh inputs provided and a fresh statement given by the complainant, appropriate section of law will be applied.”
