It will provide shuttle service from the society gates till the nearest point of avail public transport which is over 600 meters away from the apartment.
In a bid to provide comfort to the residents, the Apartments Owners Association (AOA) of Savy Ville De, a high-rise in Raj Nagar Extension (RNE), has introduced an electric rickshaw 'free of cost'. It has started giving shuttle service from the society gates to the nearest point of avail public transport, which is over 600 meters away from the apartment.
When City Spidey spoke to Sanjay Shah, president of the AOA to know their intent behind this move, he said, “This will reduce residents' time and energy which they invest in covering the distance. Moreover, it is a gift to them on the occasion of Saraswati Puja, so we do not want to commercialise it. ”
“Besides, it will be of great help to the residents, especially aged ones, while shopping for their daily needs,” Shah added.
Shah also informed that the salary of the rickshaw driver and maintenance of the rickshaw would be borne by the AOA.
The society is situated 600 meters north on an internal road from the KDP roundabout. Presently, people are compelled to walk from their societies to the roundabout to fetch public ferries. Also, fruit, vegetable, and grocery market begin from the roundabout only.
