In view of the massive fire incidents which took place recently in Noida and Karol Bagh, the Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), YS Gupta, on Saturday held a meeting with the officials of fire department and directed them to conduct a fire safety survey to avoid such mishaps in the area.

He said that new and advanced devices will be provided to the fire fighting teams to combat such incidents. Besides, health check-ups and counselling sessions will be held periodically for the firemen to give them a stress-free environment while working.

Gupta further directed the officials concerned to clear all the files related to fire No Objection Certificate (NOC) in a prompt manner. In addition to this, he stated that proper arrangements should be in place in all the commerical and industrial units.

Chief Medical Officer Brahmadeep Sandhu, Assistant Divisional Fire Officer I S Kashyap, Fire Station Officer Satyavan Samrival and Pankaj Parashar, Additional Fire Station Officers Sukhbir Singh, Narendra Singh, Sunil Kumar, Lalit Kumar and Ramesh Kumar were present during the meeting.
