Women from all walks of life deliberated on the theme of Women Empowerment at a function organised yesterday at Radisson Blu in Sector 13, Dwarka.

The event was organised by the Association of Social and Cultural Events. A member of association and also the general secretary of Federation of CGHS, Dwarka, Sudha Sinha said, “This event is meant to celebrate womanhood. Community women from societies, RWAs, social organisations and other platforms participated in it and enjoyed the discussions.”

 

 

Various cultural programmes were organised on the occasion by community-based groups like Association of Neighbourhood Ladies Get-together, Aradhna Dance Group of Classical Dance, Dwarka Progressive Club. 

The panelists were given a memento by Joint CP of Western Range, Mashup Tiwari, who was present on the occasion as chief guest. The DCO of Dwarka, Anto Alphonse, and ACP Rajender Singh were also present at the event.

 

 

In his address to the gathering, Joint CP stressed on the importance of safety apps of Delhi Police and implored everybody present to download the Himmat Plus App. He also said Dwarka is one of the safest places in Delhi as far as women’s safety is concerned.

The attendees included DCP of North East District, Vijyanta Arya; Principal of Queen’s Valley School Namita Sharma; Dr Upasna Bhagat from Bhagat Chandra Hospital; Dr Sarita Solanki from Venkateshwar Hospital; Principal of NK Bagrodia School, Raji N Kumar; Director of Vandana International School, Vandana Tandon; Dr Leena N Sreedhar from Manipal Hospital Sector; mother of Nirbhaya, Asha Devi.
