Non-payment of monthly wages to maintenance staff and others resulted in a ruckus between the management and workers and stoppage of daily services subsequently.
Over 200 families who have moved to their new flats in Shri Radha Sky Garden, a high-rise in Greater Noida West, are battling each day without having basic facilities. Reason? The conflict between the management and the working staff, including security guards and housekeeping workers over non-payment of monthly wages. This resulted in a huge ruckus on Friday, injuring a few residents too.
Due to the conflict, the daily maintenance services which are supposed to be provided to the residents have been stopped.
Ravinder, Malviya, a resident told City Spidey, “We are living here without any basic facility. Security guards, management staff, plumber, housekeeping staff have gone on strike. The situation is so worse that we do not even have the water supply in our kitchen for the past two days.”
Residents informed there are to more housing projects of the same developer which are under-construction - Shri Aqua Garden and Shri Sky Park. Both these under-construction societies are located adjacent to Shri Radha Sky Garden.
“The staff members of the management and labours have stopped working because they were not given their dues from last two months. Due to their conflict, we are at the receiving end,” Malviya added.
Annoyed by the attitude being shown by the management, residents have staged a sit-in protest in front of the marketing office in the society.
“All the staff members of the marketing department have been sent outside the society. We have decided that we won’t allow any marketing related works until we are provided with basic facilities for which we have paid,” said another resident.
