Jalvayu Vihar was formed between 1984 and 1998, combining Sector 21 and 25 to make it city's well-known neighbourhood.

With flower petals, dry colours and sumptuous lunch, the new management committee of the Jalvayu Vihar Community Centre  (JVCC), Noida Sector 21, on Tuesday celebrated their first Holi bash under the leadership of Group Captain V Dayal.

Ever since the community centre was built in the year 1996, no Holi Milan has ever happened here but this time the festival of colours was celebrated with around 600 members. 

Residents enjoyed foot-tapping Holi songs and even shook their leg on drums when the dholis churned out bhangra beats. Even Tambola, a popular party game, was played by the members which much fervour. 

They celebrated dry Holi keeping in mind the wastage of water and other hazards and applied teeka on each other's forehead to mark the celebration. A charity for Shaheed Smarak,  a triservice memorial dedicated to the martyrs of Noida, was also organised during the event.

Built by the Air Force Naval Housing Board (AFNHB), the original allottees were all Air Force and Navy personnel.
