Just 10 days ahead of the new session of pre-primary classes at Greater Noida West's SKS World School, agitated parents of the students staged a protest in front of the institution alleging that the management is not bothered about the well-being of their wards as now they have decided to begin their classes in an under-construction building.

Parents claim that the school didn't tell them about the latest development until someone raised a question about the facilities during the orientation session on March 30.

"We are pissed that the school has made fool of us. We have paid the fees and other remuneration and now they have told us that they are not beginning the new session in the same building at the  HS 01, Sec 16 (Near Supertech Eco Village 3) Greater Noida West. During the orientation program on Saturday, they told us that they are shifting Pre Nursery, Nursery and Prep in a building, which is under construction," Gaurav Sharma, whose child is in Nursery, told City Spidey.

According to the parents, who visited the new site recently, construction work is in full swing in the building and sending their child in such a place will be life-threatening.

"When we got to know about it, few of us went there to see as the new building is almost two kilometres away from the school. And we were shocked when we reached there. Floors are yet to be done and there was no whitewash on the wall. Basically, the building has no basic facilities for a child yet to study there. If we send our wards there, any mishap can happen anytime," Sharma added.

The protest lasted for an hour and the school's principal assured them that she will speak to the management about it.

"Principal told us that they will have a meeting on this issue with the management. She will meet us in two days and will let us know what they have decided. However, she is claiming construction work will be complete before April 10. But we don't think so," Raj Patwal, another parent, said.

When we tried to contact the school principal, she didn't answer her phone and hasn't reverted to the text message yet.
