“The motive is to promote 100% voting in the city in upcoming general elections,” said Rajat Agarwal, one of the organisers of the event.

The event will start at 6 am and run till 10 am at Central Park of Rajnagar.

Theatre artists will perform a street play emphasizing the importance of election and voting. Also, a painting competition dedicated to the theme of the event will be held.

Apart from that, aerobics, Zumba, yoga, cycling, art and craft competitions and other activities galore are also planned.

Participants of the event will also be able to avail of free health check-ups at the venue.

DM Ghaziabad, Ritu Maheshwari, who also happens to be the chief electoral officer of Ghaziabad district, will attend the event.

To register maximum voting in upcoming elections, district administration is going all out to appeal to the residents through every possible public event under Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme by Election Commission of India.

SVEEP is a programme of multi interventions through different modes and media designed to educate citizens, electors and voters about the electoral process in order to increase their awareness and participation.
