Schools and colleges in Gautam Buddh Nagar will be closed only on April 11.
Keeping in view of the first phase of upcoming general elections scheduled on April 11 in Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar, the office of District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) has ordered all the schools and colleges in the district to be shut from April 9 till April 11.
“All the schools and colleges in the district would be turned into poll booth on the day of elections. Keeping this in view, all the schools (basic/secondary/CBSE/ICSE) and higher educational institutes will remain closed,” the circular issued by the DIOS office read.
However, schools and colleges in Gautam Buddh Nagar will be closed only on the day election, April 11, told PK Upadhyay, DIOS, GB Nagar.
