The constituency of Gautam Budh Nagar is all set to go into polls on April 11. Close to 23 lakh urban and rural voters will vote to elect their Member of Parliament (MP). Out of the total voters, almost 70 per cent are from rural areas.

As the biggest festival of democracy draws close, people are expected to find their polling booth where they are expected to cast their votes.

The district administration and development authorities have already been prepared to conduct the elections in Lok Sabha constituency.

Individuals, who are 18 years or above, can cast their votes in the coming elections. They can only cast their votes at the polling booths where their name is registered.

Now, they can search their polling booths online and also through sending SMS.

Here are the steps to find your polling booths:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Voters' Services Portal (NSVP).

Step 2: Find ‘Booth, AC and PC’ under 'Citizen Information' and click on it.

Step 3: Enter your name, father/husband's name/ state and the CAPTCHA code.

Step 4: The complete details of polling booth will appear at the bottom of the page.

People can click on the ‘View Details’ to get information about polling booth, parliamentary constituency and assembly constituency. It is also advisable to check whether your name is in the voter’s list or not.

Here is the way to get information about your polling booths through SMS:

It is the simplest way to get information about your polling booth. You need to type EPIC followed by a space and Voter ID number and send it to 51969 or 166 using phone. You will instantly get an SMS with details of the polling booth including location.
