I'puram: Jaipuriya Sunrise Greens elects three members to RWA board

Residents of Jaipuriya Sunrise Greens, a high rise in Indirapuram, held its Residents Welfare Association (RWA) election and elected three members to the board on Sunday.

The elections happened after three of the board members retired this year as per a bylaw of UP Apartment Act.

The elections were held peacefully. Out of 9 nominations filed to contest the election, 7 were found correct by election committee.

However, the voting percentage was recorded little above 30 per cent. Out of 937 legal voters, only 339 voted in the election.

The three members chosen to the board are Priyanka Sinha, Alok Gupta and Happy Kumar.

Speaking on the vision of the new RWA board, Suman Pal, outgoing president of the RWA, said that allotment of parking spaces to the residents would be done on priority.

“Builder did not earmark the parking spaces to the residents of the society. It led to altercations between the residents. We would allot parking spaces for all the residents,” told Pal.
