Noida played host to the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar recently at Smaaash Entertainment’s new outlet in DLF Mall of India, Sector 18, where the icon launched the “Smaaash Sachin Virat Cricket Carnival.” About a thousand fans thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of their favourite cricketer.

Here are a few pictures from the launch.

FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME: The master blaster inaugurates the carnival at the event.

The carnival is designed to be a cricket tournament that will bring together 2000 teams from across the nation to compete against one another. It will be played at 360-degree cricket simulators at the five Smaaash centres in Mumbai, Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore and Hyderabad. In Sachin's own words, “The advanced simulators at Smaaash are fascinating and are very close to the real match experience.”

The highlight is the finale in Mumbai where the prizes will be awarded by Virat Kohli and him. Sachin is also the brand ambassador of Smaaash.

CROWD-PULLER: The sports icon waves at the crowd during the event.

Smaaash is a sports-centric entertainment centre that offers a range of games, including cricket, football and ten-pin bowling, besides a virtual reality experience. Given the craze for cricket in the country and Sachin promoting the carnival, it is likely that the carnival will be a success. Besides, getting a chance to face Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Kieron Pollard or Sachin Tendulkar on a cricket pitch, even if virtual, is reason enough to pull lovers of the game to Smaaash.
