Yet another case of credit card fraud has come to light. A software engineer, who is a resident of DPS Society in Noida’s Sector 51, has alleged that his credit card was used to make international shopping transactions worth Rs 4.1 lakh.

According to the complaint registered with Sector 49 Police Station, the victim has been identified as Mohit Krishn who works as a software engineer.

In his complaint, techie informed the police that on the midnight of April 19, Rs 4,11,000 was debited from his credit card. Soon after he received message about the transaction, he also received a phone call mentioning the fraud.

The complaint said that the caller identified himself as banker and asked Krishn whether he had done any international transaction recently? When Krishn said no, the caller informed him that the amount deducted from his credit card was used to make international purchase.

According to the police, the victim has recently got his credit card with a credit limit of Rs 5 lakh. The fraudsters made two purchases in foreign currency, one in dollars and other in euros. Ajay Agrawal, SHO of Sector 49 Police Station said that a complaint has been registered and the case has been given to the cyber cell for further investigation.
