Shubham Srivastava, a resident of Sector 22 in Dwarka, has become topper in the JEE Main Exam 2019. He secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 by scoring 360 marks out of 360 in the exam.
Srivastava is from a coaching centre's classroom programme at Dwarka.
In a press conference organised at Dwarka, it was informed that Srivastava is a student of two years classroom programme.
He had also performed excellently in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and Astronomy Olympiads.
Srivastava is son of Anup Kumar who is an Air India employee. Her mother, Ruchi, is a homemaker.
During a talk with media, Srivastava said, “I feel relieved and motivated to have scored well to clear JEE Main Exam 2019. I was confident to score well. I am not celebrating yet as I have to return to my studies and keep my focus on JEE Advanced. I do not want to leave any stone unturned in order to do better in JEE Advanced.”
His teachers and parents said that Srivastava was a brilliant and very disciplined student. His father said that he always helped his son in doing practice for the exams.
Kumar said that he always freed him for recreational activities including sports. He added that he always knew that his son would do well but getting 360 out of 360 was surprising.
