A girl student of Amity University, who was kidnapped on Saturday night, got rescued by Noida police on Sunday. She was kidnapped from Sector 127 in Noida. The girl is pursuing B.Com from Amity University.
Police said, “The girl went for a dinner with her three male friends in a Hyundai i20 Elite car. At Bakhtawarpur, a local village in Sector 127, all of her friends went out from the car to bring food from a restaurant besides the road. Seeing a girl sitting alone, an unidentified man came into the car and drove it away.”
The girl started shouting for help. Her friends spotted her shouting from the car. They informed the police immediately.
Anup Kumar, Sub Inspector was conducting a regular vehicle check at an underpass near Panchsheel Inter College in Sector 135.
As he got the information on wireless that the miscreant is heading toward Yamuna Expressway, he started chasing him. The police chased him up to three kilometers on Yamuna Expressway to free the girl safely.
Dr Kaustubh, Circle Officer, City, said that the girl was freed safely and kidnapper was arrested. Further interrogation with the accused is in progress.
