Commuters were stuck for more than three hours as the truck’s tyre got stuck in a pothole near Pinnacle Tower.
The residents of Indirapuram had a tough time battling traffic jam on the CISF road on Thursday morning after a truck broke down.
Traffic crawled as the truck’s tyre got stuck in a poorly covered pothole near Pinnacle Tower, a high rise in Indirapuram. Commuters faced a tough time as they remained stuck in traffic jam in scorching heat for nearly three hours.
Traffic jam started around 8 am and could only be cleared by 11 am when traffic officials were able to tow away the truck.
However, the problem is not new for the locality. The residents said that for the last two days, water from an STP plant on the CISF road gets accumulated on the road shrinking it and adding to the woes of motorists and commuters.
Besides, the road in front of DPS in Ahinsa Khand II is also in poor condition. Because of which, the residents have been forced to use the same lane to enter and exit.
Also, a barricade has been put up at the CISF road near Shanti Gopal Hospital intersection as construction work is going on at the spot. All these factors have turned CISF road into a traffic nightmare during peak hours.
