A waste burning activity has been reported from Sector 14 where huge heaps of garbage can be seen being burnt, that too in front of a school.

The video footage by City Spidey shows actual scenes from the location where the smoke could be seen emanating from the waste, comprising plastics, wood, thermocol, and other hazardous materials.

The issues related to the burning of waste and waste management, in general, have been raised several times with the civic bodies, departments concerned but to no avail. The situation is just becoming bad to worse!

Garbage burning in open is not just a punishable offence but it poses severe health and environmental risks. The issue is grave and if not resolved as soon as possible,  can make the sub-city a 'living hell'!
