Although the rising pollution level in the city has been raising serious concerns for people, but the realty companies are not refraining from causing pollution. They are carrying out development of projects without taking required steps to curb dust pollution on the site.
In one such case, a realty major was fined by the Noida Authority on Tuesday for violating the green norms. The Authority issued a notice and imposed hefty fine of Rs 50,000 on Aims Max Gardenia Private Limited, a realty major which is developing a commercial project in Sector 75, Noida.
According to Mukesh Kumar Vaishya, senior manager with the Authority, the realty company is developing Spectrum Mall in Sector 75. It has not hung green net at the construction site which prevents areas to be affected from dust pollution.
The officer told that the violation of norms was found at the site and a fine of Rs 50,000 has been imposed on it. It will have to deposit the fine in bank account of the Authority within stipulated period of seven days.
He said that the company will also have to put green net on the site. Without it, the construction won't be allowed on the site. He said that inspection at other development sites are also in progress. If anyone found not adhering to the green norms then they will also be penalised.
